Ginny has accepted a position as a Project Manager at Microsoft in Redmond, Washington.  While this is a contract position (most likely becoming permanent after six months) she will be making $12K more annually than at her last position and working only 27 hours a week.

Consultant comments:  Ginny has found her perfect job.  She has always wanted to do contract work at Microsoft. Without a degree she has been able to secure 3 stable year-long contracts with Microsoft.  She has been working contract jobs at Microsoft since 10/07 but the contract she got were short-term.  Now she has 3 long-term ones and is interviewing for a 4th contract that would be 20 hours.  During her contract time, she went back to school to get a certification in Project Management and eventually plans to take the certification exam to be a PMP.

Kevin has a terrific background and wanted someone to help him through a job search process.  He moved from FL to IL and lived with his brother while on a search.  He wound up interviewing with 4 companies at the same time and accepted the Premier offer.  Kevin was very appreciative of the program and volunteered to be a reference.

Mike had to leave his previous position because it was not a good fit for him.  As well he encountered serious family problems.  He wanted a position that had flexibility, one in which there was opportunity for growth and one in which he would be committed to the product.  He found this in Animark.  The company sells ultrasound machines for diagnosing pregnancy in animals.  There is a tremendous market for it.  Mike was told that if he had joined the company in January, he would have made $8,000 that month alone!

Plant Manager set the bar too low

Just prior to Pat starting his job at Celestial Seasonings when he was asked by Crop Protection Services for a telephone interview.  It is closer to home and pays more money.  He interviewed over the phone and in-person before he started his job.  After 2 days at Celestial Seasonings, he got an offer from Crop Protection Services. He was able to negotiate a 6-month compensation review.  Throughout Pat’s job search he tried to convince me that he only needed $80K which is why he accepted his 1st offer.  Now he is much happier with the increase in pay, title and shorter commute.

Bill is thrilled to be going back into healthcare.  He explored retail for a while and then decided to go back to the direction we had originally agreed upon.  He learned to network very well and found a foot-in-the-door position with the #1 residential care organization in Northern Colorado.  He will be the weekend Administrator for a 50+ bed assisted living facility – exactly the type of facility he was looking for.
